The new year began with our annual membership drive, which ended with our annual dinner meeting on February 20.  A Powerpoint presentation, highlighting some of 2009's events, was shown during the meet and great time prior to the dinner.  After everyone had dinner, Hal Bopp, division director and former supervisor of the California Division of Oil and Gas, reviewed the highlights of the state's petroleum history and the role the D.O.G. plays.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the museum you can still join.  Please call (661) 765-6664 during business hours.  The Museum is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Thursday through Saturday and is open Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  The money you contribute now becomes, in great part, our operating money for the coming year.  All money given to the Museum is tax deductible.
